I am Lethabo Monareng, an 18 year old South African high school graduate with a Bachelor degree, and I am in need for financial assistance.On the 9th of February, I got accepted to study Film at SCAD Atlanta and I was awarded a scholarship of $2000. With that scholarship, I still need to pay of $54,258 which is about R1,039,000 in South Africa.
I am required to submit my documents as soon as possible so I can get a student visa immediately considering that I’ll start my quarter this spring. The documents include a sponsors banking statement proving that there’s $54,258 for the first academic year, minus the scholarship. A letter from the sponsor to confirm sponsorship and some reservation payments.
I have been working on my portfolio since 2022, which include my work of Animation, Photography, Sculpting, Painting, Writing, Pencil drawings, and Poetry.
It is unfortunate that my parents are unemployed and cannot pay the fees of the school.
I do hope that I can get donations so I can live my dream of becoming a Director and direct films.
I am trying to raise funds for my first academic year as funding companies I have visted only fund for second year and thereafter.
The $54,248 covers the following:
$40,095 for one year tuition
$10,905 for Housing per academic year
$1,998 for meal plans per quarter
$750 for housing reservation
$500 for registration
