Lesedi was nominated by her school to attend an Academic Achievers Tour this year October based on her academic performance last year. She was then officially invited by Travel and Sport to attend the said tour. The options to choose from are between American Universities, or English and Irish Universities.
Lesedi chose the 12 day American tour... With the hope of raising enough money in this time for her to go on this fantastic and educational experience.
It has always been a dream of Lesedi's, to one day attend an American University, and this invitation to visit America's top universities, is a once in a lifetime opportunity that cannot be missed.
During this tour, Lesedi and a group of other students will be visiting Universities such as Princeton, Yale, Harvard, MIT and Colombia. They will receive guided tours of each campus and will also be attending 3 private lectures throughout the tour. This could be very beneficial to her, as her goal is to one day study Aerospace Engineering at one of these fine Universities.
The group will also be visiting major museums- Museum of Natural History and the International Spy Museum, historical and tourist sites such as the 9/11 Memorial, Statue of Liberty, Arlington National Cemetery, Empire State Building... To name a few.
This tour will be a dream come true for Lesedi, and it will pave the way for her future. Lesedi is determined to study very hard to get a scholarship in order for her to study in America, and who knows, maybe the with generosity of her family, friends and kind hearted people, she will be able to do so.
The funds will cover the following:
1. Return ticket to and from American
2. Airport tax
3. Travel insurance
4. Accommodation to all hotels
5. Breakfasts
6. Some lunches
7. Some dinners
8. Travel in a private coach between Boston, New York and Washington
9. All entrance tickets to museums and activities.
10. Guided tours of all university grounds
Each and every donation would make a difference and be a stepping Stine in Lesedi's future, and therefore we thank you and we are forever grateful.
