My daughter, Jessica Darling, amazes me every day! She is so dedicated and disciplined at the very young age of 12. Everything she touches turns to gold not because of luck, but because of hard work, focus and dedication. Everything she sets her mind to she achieves. Not only in netball but the many sports she participates in.

She started playing netball in Grade 1 in Tableview Primary. School netball and Indoor Action netball. Throughout Covid we had to find anywhere we could to continue playing as she just cannot go without playing! Her passion for netball shines whenever she is on the court.

This year March she was part of the Western Cape Coastal under 12A Indoor netball team who won Gold! And her school team went to SA Top Schools in August and came 9th! At the indoor netball tournament in March she was selected for the under 13A South African Team to take part in a Tri-series in New Zealand, against New Zealand and Australia.

It has always been a dream of hers to play for her country. This is a self-funded tour which we unfortunately do not have the funds for but have told her we will do all we can to get her to New Zealand.

The team tour 14th July to 28th July 2024.

The costs, excluding pocket money is approximately R70000-00, which include flights, accommodation, food, kit and game fees. We are also brainstorming on fundraising events as we also don't want her travelling without one of her parents at this young age.

She has also just been selected to be part of the Western Cape Coastal under 13A Indoor team. This tournament is being held in Joburg March 2024, which is also a self-funded tournament so funds are really at a low, but we will do all we can so she can continue to live out her passion for netball.
