Thank you for visiting my fundraising page.

For a 2nd year, I have decided to raise funds for Afrika Tikkun by completing the Pick 'n Pay Argus cycle tour -the challenging 110km route around the beautiful Cape Peninsula on Sunday 10th March.

Last year, finishing the Argus, was the highlight of my cycling career. It was a personal achievement beyond one of my wildest dreams or ambitions.  I can't begin to explain the sense of achievement and the pure elation of conquering Chappies, and Suikerbossie (without walking once!!!).  Plus it was fantastic knowing that the money I had fundraised was going to a great cause.

This year I am CHALLENGING myself:  to try and take 30 minutes off my time (5h04) from 2012!  And when I'm gritting my teeth to push through the pain barriers and the exhaustion , I aim to think about the underpriviledged youngsters whos lives will be positively affected by the donations to Afrika Tikkun.

Each Cyclists who rides in the EACH ONE TEACH ONE Team has been challenged to see how many children they can send to school by the end of their race. It costs R2160 a year to send a child to one of Afrika Tikkun's Early Childhood Development Centres (ECD).

Children that attend E.C.D Centres are less likely to turn to crime, and are more likely to become productive citizens. This will then have a direct result in overall economic improvement and we will have stronger and healthier communities!
