Good day, on the evening of 22/01, we were notified by members of the community that our family home is on fire and that there are still people inside.
This in itself is a horrifying experience. Fortunately, there were no lives lost in the incident as the quick thinking neighbors and emergency services were alert and ready to respond to the cries for help. Causes are still being investigated.
It has been 2 weeks since this traumatic event and we still have 1 family member in hospital in a critical condition. Please pray for her recovery.
Besides the trauma of this experience. The family is now scattered and living with relatives as the blaze caused severe damages to the home and left it uninhabitable.
We are appealing to anyone who can assist us in rebuilding our lives and repairing the home so the family can be under the same roof again. There is a great need for assistance as they have lost everything and unfortunately the household itself has no income besides the social grants that they receive.
This home belongs to my mom a 58 year old woman, two daughters aged 37 and 27, with their children aged 4 and 7.
