Personal message

I am Jean, a father to a beautiful daughter. I enjoy sports and feel honoured to ride for Home of Hope at the Cape Town Cycle Tour again this year.

All children deserve an opportunity in life and a part of a loving home.

Riding for a child in need makes me feel more motivated, as I can be a part of a fantastic cause.

I am excited to raise funds and contribute to a child in need. My little buddy’s name is Dumiso. He is eight years old, but due to his mental disability, he functions at an age younger than he is. Dumiso loves to be outside, running around and playing on the jungle gym.

Please help make a difference in a child’s life that is faced with challenges every day due to Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder (FASD).

We can make a difference by raising R12000.00 for Dumiso’s brighter future!

Charity Default Logo

Home of Hope was started in 2005, and we are an NPO that cares for abandoned and abused children and children with Foetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder (FASD – permanent brain damage caused by pre-natal exposure to alcohol). We are a registered place of safety and we have 19 children in our long term community based foster care.

The organisation also caters for the special educational needs of children suffering from FAS (Foetal Alcohol Syndrome) and neurological challenges, in our Amathemba Learning Centre. There are currently 37 children at our Amathemba Learning Centre.
