Personal message
Prior to Covid 19 I had entered for my third Comrades, which was set to be my last one for a while, as Kelsey would then have a go in 2021, however, Covid 19 came along and unfortunately Comrades as we all know it has been cancelled. As most of you know Kelsey and I got married on the 28th of December and we were set to go on a honeymoon and run the Madrid marathon in April as Mr and Mrs Hanger, however, that too was obviously cancelled.
So to make up for it on Sunday the 14 of June we shall now run together as Mr and Mrs Hanger, around our neighbourhood, we shall each cover a distance of 45km each, so in total as a couple, we would have covered the Comrades distance. Whilst it isn't 90km solo as we have another big race lined up, if Covid allows, we would really love it and appreciate it if you could donate towards the cause we will be running for.
Many of our friends and family are already familiar with the Rainbows and Smiles foundation as we have run for them on two previous occasions before, and I say we as I wouldn't have been able to do the two races without Kelsey supporting and seconding me.
So if you are able, as we know everyone is in a tough financial position, but if you are able and would like to support the cause no matter how big or small the donation, we appreciate it more than you know and so do they. Rainbows and Smiles is a very worthy cause and your kindness will go a long way, alternatively, if you can't donate, come run a few kilometres with us and show your support, cause we sure will need it

The mission of Rainbows and Smiles is to provide emotional, social and financial support to families and caregivers in need when a child or children of that family is diagnosed with a life threatening illness such as cancer. In addition, Rainbows and Smiles encourage childhood cancer awareness to educate in the hope of promoting early detection.
