Good day,

Thanks for your interest in our fundraising event. Please follow our Facebook page "Back a Trucker - Jaco Snyders" for updates.

Our father has been diabetic for some time now and recently underwent a middle-toe amputation on his left foot due to gangrene. We live in Vaalwater, Limpopo. The government hospital in Lephalale doesn't perform amputations, so he's transferred to Mokopane Government Hospital for treatment. Unfortunately, we received bad news that the gangrene had spread further, and the hospital needed to amputate his leg below the knee as a preventative measure.

This news brings both physical and mental challenges, along with significant financial stress. We're fortunate that the government is covering his operations, but our father is only receiving a portion of his normal salary during this time as his company is only responsible for paying his basic wage while he cannot work. We're uncertain about the future medical steps and who will need to cover the costs of his prosthesis.

We hope and pray that this amputation will stop the spread of the gangrene, and we ask for everyone's prayers. We're requesting donations to help alleviate the burden of bills and transportation costs to and from Lephalale or Mokopane Government Hospital for follow-up appointments, which cost R500 and R600, respectively.

Every donation will help our father regain strength and face the future without the burden of overdue bills and debt. The funds raised will solely cover his bills, transportation costs, and, if possible, post-op private medical wound care to ensure his proper healing.
