Likhon iThemba
We have 4 projects under our Likhon iThemba umbrella:
- HOLAH (House of Love and Hope) Baby Home and Special Needs Home is a registered Place of Safety. Since June 2012 we have cared for more than 100 babies and children. Currently, we care for 25 children ages 11 years – 3 months of which 11 have special needs and will live with us indefinitely and the remainder are placed for foster care, adoption, or reunification with family members.
- Bowl of Plenty is a feeding scheme, catering daily to 120 children in Molweni KZN.
- Vikela Baby Saver is a specialised receptacle for the safe and anonymous relinquishment of babies. We have two sites one in Glenwood and one in Molweni.
- Charity Hop Shop is our income-generating project which makes up 28% of our monthly income.
