Personal message
My brother Wayne Morgan went missing 06/01/2017. Despite all my efforts to find him from phoning friends, family and opening a missing persons file (case number OB: 807/01/2017) no luck. My brother is bipolar and it was worrying that he was not taking his meds, considering he is a rehabilitated drug addict. So as you can imagine the terrifying thought of him relapsing and start using drugs again.
I received a please call me on 14/01/2017 from an unknown number. When I call I knew my brother was with an old friend back when he was using drugs, my worst nightmare about to come true… Justin said, “Carol please come to my house, Wayne wont wake up”.
I automatically jumped in my car and rushed to find my brother lying on the floor busy dying, Purple in his face and choking on his own body fluids. (a terrifying picture that will be with me for the rest of my life) I proceeded to turn him to his side and put my fingers down his throat, whilst I was trying to save the life of my brother, the paramedics arrived and took over. Thank you God.
Wayne was then rushed to Roseacers clinic and was turned away. We then rushed him to the Glynwood hospital where he was taken to specialized ICU and put on life support, a week went pass and finally my brother woke up and no longer need life support. What a relief.
He started babbling and was hard to understand him, he was confused and had no memory of any events. He even started asking for our farther whom passed away over 18 years ago…. So we are noot sure as yet what permanent damage has neen done.
The doctor has recommended for Wayne to go to a farm in Nigel, called Freedom Recovery Center.
We are hoping that the medical aid will cover Wayne for a full 3 month recover program. But I doubt it and I can see bills coming my way. However I am required to pay a R3400.00 admission fee.
I really feel that my brother will benefit from this program, but sadly I am not in the financial situation to pay the admission fee or any medical bills that are to come as I am a single mom with three beatifull children.
I love my brother and want nothing more for him than a normal happy life to live.
