Hi, my name is Francois De Jonge, a 30-year old humanitarian pilot working in West Africa -but originally from Pretoria.

I have decided to ride the 94.7 Cycle Challenge to raise funds and create awareness for The South African Bone Marrow Registry (SABMR) and I am hoping that you all would consider making a donation to the foundation on my behalf.

Giving is not just about making a monetary donation, it’s about making a difference in someone’s life. Each leukaemia patient only has a 1 in 100 000 chance in finding a suitable matching donor. So what we need to do, is to tell every eligible person next to us to register with SABMR.

On 17 November 2019, I will be joining a group who will ride in support of the South African Bone Marrow Registry (SABMR). This organisation needs funds for procedures and tests. The goal is to help save lives while providing hope for all patients fighting leukaemia and those in need of bone marrow transplants.

Any donation will go a long way as I get on my way to ride to create much-needed awareness about this cause. Since I have no experience in any prior bicycle races, I will need your support to try and achieve the almost impossible.

It is my belief that small actions coupled with a lot of people can create a lot of change. Please help me reach my target with any small contribution you may have.
