Urgent Appeal: Help Erin Beat Breast Cancer - R250k Fundraising Goal
I hope this message finds you well. I am reaching out on behalf of Erin Leia Brunette, a courageous 39-year-old woman who is facing a formidable battle against Triple Negative Breast Cancer. Erin, a dedicated Biokineticist, has overcome significant challenges, including escaping an abusive relationship in 2022, losing her practice, and experiencing cervical cancer scares. Now, she needs our collective support to overcome this latest hurdle.
Erin's financial goal is to raise R250,000, 00 aiming to cover her extensive medical bills, day-to-day living expenses, surgery, possible reconstruction, and radiation therapy while she cannot work.
In her own words:
"My journey has been a tumultuous one, marked by personal and professional losses. Despite overcoming cervical cancer scares and rebuilding my life, I now face Triple Negative Breast Cancer, a fast-growing and aggressive form. Without medical coverage for private treatment, I navigated the challenges of the public healthcare system, only to find they lacked essential chemotherapy drugs needed for my unique case.
With the generosity of my family [My brother Kyle paid for my Biopsy], I've started chemotherapy, but surgery, reconstruction, and radiation therapy are imminent. I can only work about 1.5 weeks every month due to the side effects of the chemo and the nature of my job being very physical and hands-on."
Erin's story is one of resilience, determination, and a deep desire to be there for her son. Every donation, regardless of size, will directly contribute to her cancer treatment, including surgery, possible reconstruction, and radiation therapy. Your support will not only alleviate the financial burden on Erin but also provide emotional strength as she fights this battle.
1) What relationship do you have with the beneficiary? Erin is my cousin, and witnessing her courage and strength has inspired me to initiate this appeal to support her during this critical time.
2) Why is it important to you that the funds are raised? It is crucial to me that we raise the funds for Erin to alleviate her financial burden, ensuring she can focus on defeating cancer and providing a stable environment for her son.
3) What will the impact be if you can raise the funds needed? If we can reach the R250,000 fundraising goal, the impact on Erin's life will be profound. It will cover her medical bills, surgery, possible reconstruction, radiation therapy, and day-to-day living costs, providing a lifeline during this challenging journey.
4) How will the funds raised be used? Funds raised will be used to cover Erin's extensive medical expenses, day-to-day living costs, and crucial upcoming treatments, including surgery, possible reconstruction, and radiation therapy.
"In the face of darkness, let our collective light be Erin's guiding star. Your compassion and support are not just donations; they are rays of hope illuminating her path to healing. Together, let us weave a tapestry of strength, resilience, and love, reminding Erin that she is never alone in this journey. Your generosity can turn the page of her story, painting a brighter tomorrow. Thank you for being the difference in Erin's fight against cancer."
Warm regards,
Kirsty Hatfield
