Dear Gr.7 Parents, 

We are now well on our way into the new year and first school term and we are getting ready to attend some lovely events this year! 

We have rethought our approach to raising funds for class events, and I am excited to introduce the “Back-a-Buddy” crowdfund system with which we will raise funds for our class specific events this year. May of the other classes are also using this platform. 

The main events we have planned and need your contributions for are the following: 

• Register Teacher’s birthday:  Mrs. Pienaar – 4 February
• Teacher’s Day Appreciation gift: 4 October
• Year end Gratitude Gift: Last day of school December

There are also opportunities to do random acts of kindness during the year for which funds can be used, for instance a Cuppachino, a chocolate or a small flower bouquet every now and then.

 

Further to that we as the Gr. 7 class have a big fundraising year with various events starting with the PS Disco etc. At the end of the year, we will donate the remaining funds to the school for a dedicated project like shade-nets for the teachers’ vehicles or a portion towards a roof/covering for the Amphitheatre. 

Every and any contribution you make is very much appreciated! Contributing to this fund is voluntary, not limited to any amount and anonymous.

I will regularly communicate the fundraising opportunities on our WhatsApp group and your help at events will also help to make our events this year memorable!
