Abandoned, desolate, and without hope. This is how the story for most of these children from the Nuba Mountain begins. BUT, as the slogan of a dear friend's WhatsApp states, it's time to start writing a new end.
Through the S4J Children's project, in 2022 focused specifically on the Kandaka orphan school in the Nuba Mountains, Elane Strauss wants to, with others, help the children in practical ways. Elane is specifically helping Basir Kuku Noorin, whose father died in the civil war and she was left by her mother.

S4J is a fundraiser where athletes who run the Comrades marathon (and other races) raise funds to help the people of Sudan and South Sudan. We focus on providing help to war victims, as well as those in avoided and neglected communities where help is needed most.
The primary focus is providing these communities with access to clean water and assistance to those who share the Good News of Jesus Christ to those in need.
