Hi everyone, further to a campaign run last year to assist my family, we are now humbly asking for your assistance again. My husband, who was a policeman was injured on duty in a motorcycle accident ........ years ago.
He was badly injured and still, to this day, is wheel chair bound due to a severe leg injury. We are trying all means possible to save his leg. He has now been medically boarded, but the cost of his medication monthly is quite honestly, prohibitive and unsustainable in the long term.
The medications alone that he needs for pain management, as well as high dosages of antibiotics that he is in need of almost constantly due to recurrent bone infections, after numerous surgeries and bone graft, cost in the region of R18 900 per month. Injury on duty is no longer paying out for some unknown reason and medical aid does not cover the cost of out of hospital medications.
We are asking for any contribution towards this to just keep my husband comfortable and out of pain. This is our last ditch effort to save his leg, failing this, we will have no choice but to amputate. From being a very able bodied policeman, to being reduced to a wheel chair is taking a massive toll on both him, myself and my teenage daughter who just matriculated.
Any assistance would be hugely appreciated. Thank you for your generosity and taking the time to read this, if you are unable to help, may we request that you share our plight with others?
Thank you

Ongoing Treatment for Ex Policeman Campaign
Hello everyone,
My husband, a former policeman, was injured in a motorcycle accident years ago, leaving him wheelchair-bound due to a severe leg injury. The cost of his ongoing medical care, particularly his monthly medication expenses, is overwhelming and not covered by insurance or benefits.
We are seeking any assistance to help cover these costs and keep him comfortable. Without support, amputation may be our only option.
Your generosity and sharing of our story would mean the world to us.
Thank you.
