Last week, my partner Dot experienced a harrowing car accident that left her with severe injuries.

Fortunately, she was quickly stabilized and admitted to a Netcare facility, where she is now receiving the critical care she needs.

Dot's injuries are extensive, with the most significant being head trauma and damage to her right arm. The vehicle rolled over her arm during the accident, resulting in substantial nerve, muscle, and ligament damage.

While we are grateful that medical aid has covered a substantial portion of Dot's specialist care, there are still several co-payments for each scan and specialist visit that need to be addressed.

So far, Dot has undergone numerous CT scans to monitor her brain bleed and swelling, in addition to scans for her chest and arm.
