Freecember (Freedom + December) is all about taking up a personal challenge to raise funds for an anti-human trafficking organisation. I will be taking part this year because... well because as most of you know I run an anti-human trafficking organisation here in South Africa! It saddens me that we even need to do this kind of work, but the need is there and so am I, to do what little I can in the ways that I can. So my freedom funds raised will go towards the National Freedom Network who are striving to bring unity to the field so that together, we can more effectively tackle and address and CHANGE the tide of Trafficking.

The challenge I have chosen is to... build two 1000 piece puzzles. Yes, you read right. Why on earth, you might ask, did I choose this particular and rather random challenge?

Well not only do I not particularly enjoy building puzzles, but I also have not built anything past a 54 piece toddler puzzle in the last 20 years. Add the biggest part of this challenge - I am going to be attempting this feat with two toddlers in the house over the course of December. Yes, this is going to indeed be interesting (I envision chaos, fun and frustration being co-created)! 

I would love for you to consider sponsoring me, either with a lump sum or per puzzle piece completed. I have NO IDEA how far I am going to get with this so it could be anywhere between 20 and 2000 pieces... just saying...

The puzzles I have chosen: one is of wild horses running free because nothing quite speaks of unadulterated freedom like this image, am I right or am I right?
The second is of Samudra Beach in India. Fitting for two reasons, I feel - first that this scene and the beach in general always make me feel at peace and free. But the darker link is that India sadly features strongly in the global Human Trafficking landscape.
