Personal message

I have been motivated to enter the 2016 Comrades Marathon so that I can help to raise funds for an amazing organization, Rainbows and Smiles! Rainbows and Smiles help Kids with Cancer.

This will be my 15th Comrades, my 14th being 10 years ago. I have been privileged to see the volunteers of R&S put their all out there to make a difference in the lives of these children and their families. I want to run my race and think about all the children who have run their race. Some who never got the chance to complete theirs, and others will.

I want to run this race for Jed and other children like him. I want to run this race for Jed's mommy and others like her!  I know it will be hard! I know I will want to give up!  But these children have shown me their courage and fighting spirit  and so I shall do the same for them.

And most of all - I AM HAPPY TO BE BACK!
