Personal message

My name is Hentie Nortjé. I am from Pretoria and I have been blind since birth. I was throughout my life fortunate enough to be blessed in many a way and I am therefore always aware of the difficulties my fellow disabled South-Africans are faced with.  I am currently, amongst other activities, a DA Councillor on the City of Tshwane Council.  I am also a constituency member for the DA in the East of our Capital and have, through my ventures in this regard, met Me. Andersen, one of the educators, at the Carel Du Toit Centre for children with hearing disabilities in Lynnwood Glen, Pretoria.  I have a great passion for children and have decided to swim my 13th consecutive Midmar Mile on the 9th of February 2013 with a specific goal, namely to collect funds for the Carel Du Toit Centre.  Please support my effort in this regard and help me to make a difference in the lives of the deaf children of the Carel Du Toit Centre, by supporting my cause through the back-a-buddy system.
