Hello everyone,
My name is Cornelle Leach, and I am reaching out to you today with a heartfelt plea for support. At the age of 24, I have been battling Stargardt's Macular Dystrophy, a debilitating retinal disease that has gradually robbed me of my sight. Despite the challenges, I have remained resilient, but now I need your help more than ever.
Currently, I am centrally blind, with a vision field of 0%. Every day is a struggle as I navigate a world that grows increasingly dimmer. Yet, amidst the darkness, I found a beacon of light in the form of love. I am blessed to have found the man of my dreams, Russell, who sees beyond my impairment and stands by my side unwaveringly.
Russell's love has brought me not only joy but also a glimmer of hope. His family has discovered a specialized clinic called Fedorov Vision Restoration Therapy in Berlin that offers a potential therapy for Stargardt's patients like myself. This therapy holds the promise of stabilizing or even restoring my vision, allowing me to see my wedding day and have a shot of love at first sight...
However, as with many medical treatments, this opportunity comes at a significant cost. The expenses associated with the therapy are substantial, and I am determined to raise the necessary funds to make it a reality.
