Help with Hip Replacement Operation Campaign
Michelle Cooper is reaching out for support for her husband, Andrew Cooper, who has been suffering from leg pain for over four years. A recent motorcycle accident exacerbated his condition, revealing a dead femur that requires a hip replacement operation. Despite being employed, Andrew's medical insurance covers only the hospital stay and not the necessary hardware or procedure, which costs around R100,000. Attempts at public hospitals have resulted in a lengthy waiting list, potentially delaying the operation for up to three years. Andrew is the sole provider for Michelle and their rescued pets, displaying resilience and compassion despite constant pain. He continues to work as an avid motorcyclist, undertaking a daily 110-kilometer round trip, and faces financial challenges, including saving for a car gearbox repair. Michelle hopes for support to relieve Andrew's pain and enable a better quality of life.
