Help Fund Liyandas Medical Degree Campaign

I am Liyanda Dube, a dedicated student pursuing a Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery after graduating in Health Sciences from WITS. Seeking financial aid to fulfill my dream of becoming a Medical Doctor, I come from a humble background in Diepsloot, raised by a single mother working as a Domestic Worker. Despite financial challenges, I excelled academically with distinctions and achieved an average of 84% in my final year.

My Health Systems Sciences (HSS) degree equipped me with valuable skills in collaboration, academic writing, research, critical thinking, and problem-solving. As a Health Systems graduate, I aim to bridge the gap between communities and healthcare, advocating for access to services and health education. I aspire to contribute to marginalized communities as a Medical Doctor, addressing healthcare disparities.

Having been funded by NSFAS for my HSS degree, I now require additional financial assistance to continue my medical studies. My commitment to improving the health system, coupled with my skills and achievements, makes me confident in contributing to positive change.
