Raising funds for Cancer treatment Campaign
My name is Kenneth Fisher, my friends know me as Fish, Kenny G and also as DJ Kenny Gee.
We know all to well that cancer affects so many lives, not only of those suffering from the disease.
As technology and medical science advances, so does the treatment for certain cancers, which at the very least, offers hope to patients. Unfortunately the treatment comes at a heavy, often unaffordable price.
I am starting this campaign for a dear friend, Jono Theron (AKA DJ Jon Savvage)
For 17 years, Jono was an EMS paramedic & chaplain and was dedicated to saving lives and helping those in need.
On the 5th of September 2023, Jono was involved in a Motor Vehicle Accident which caused multiple fractures to his thoracic spine. It also destroyed the disk between L4 and L5 vertebrae.
Having consulted a private spinal specialist orthopaedic surgeon, it was discovered that he has mild osteoporosis in his thoracic spine which has contributed to the fractures, and he has permanent damage to his spinal cord, and the nerves in the region of L4 and L5. It was also discovered that he suffers from a degenerative disc disease, for which there is no cure.
Initially the doctors predicted that the fractures would heal in 3 - 4 months, but after 5 months had passed, nothing had changed.
New X-rays revealed that no healing had taken place at all to the fractured vertebrae and he is in constant, excruciating pain.
CANCER DISCOVERED
Due to the broken bones not healing, he was sent for further tests, which have revealed that he has Myeloma, a blood cancer that affects the white blood cells and the plasma in the blood which is preventing the bones from healing.
Above the daily constant pain that he is in, he now needs to undergo chemotherapy treatment, which as we all know is extremely expensive.
Please help Jono to raise the funds that he desperately needs to get the cancer treatment so that he can fight this horrible disease.
