Stefan Van Zyl Road to recovery Campaign

Stefan, or Stevo as he is fondly known to family and friends, was in a horrific head-on coalition on the N1 near Kroonstad on  the morning of 13 December 2023. Stefan sustained serious head injuries and multiple fractures. He has a small bleeding in the brain and is in an induced coma in the Netcare Hospital Alberton. The damage to his beautiful face is severe and is described as a "floating face".

 

His left hip was dislocated and fractured, while the right hip was also fractured. His femur and right wrist were broken and his right foot was basically crushed to pieces.

 

The orthopedic surgeon started the first in a long row of operations on 14 December. Many more to follow.  The road to recovery and the rehabilitation will be long and costly.

 

Stefan will need all the support he can get to help with the extra medical and other expenses.

 

Every donation will help with Stefan's recovery and rehabilitation.  He is only 23 and has his whole life ahead of him. Let's join hands and open our hearts and make a donation to help him get fit and healthy again without the extra burden of financial ruin. We do not know what a realistic fundraising target might be at this stage - it is still early days.
