Meet my former colleague turned friend Chané Willemse!

A 26 year old Qualified Laboratory Assistant for PathCare Pathologists and a very good one at that. 

 

Besides being an extremely hard worker, Chané is also an extremely passionate and dedicated Ice Hockey player for local club, Cape Town Storm .

Over the last few years she’s been marred by injuries to her wrist and ankle sustained at ice hockey practice and at a company team building event respectively. 

Both occasions cost her a spot at 2 major Ice Hockey events. 

However , being the strong willed , bad ass female warrior I have come to know, she pushed through, rehabilitated herself and came back stronger than before, and her hard work and dedication has now landed her a much deserved spot on the South African Senior Women’s Ice Hockey team and a chance to participate in the 2024 IIHF Ice Hockey Women’s World Championship which will be held in Instanbul, Turkey from 1 - 7 April 2024, provided she is able to accumulate funds to the total of R18 500 to pay for her trip, and let’s face it, it’s not a sum of money everyone has just lying around, especially not at such short notice.

 

Please help me help my friend Chané , by donating to this cause that will see a young promising athlete live her dream of performing on the grand stage after enduring all these set backs.
