Personal message

My running journey began with some peer pressure, which opened up a world of opportunity where I was able to continually challenge myself and meet so many people from different walks of life. Having started out on the road, the trail was a natural progression where I was able to combine running with my love for nature and the outdoors.

While my 35km adventure is a shorter one, it will still give me the opportunity to run on one of Cape Town’s most iconic attractions. The opportunity to do this in aid of The Children's Hospital Trust makes it even more special, as it allows me to contribute toward making a difference in a child’s life.

A hospital dedicated entirely to children – especially children predominantly from impoverished communities throughout Africa – is critically important. So important, that it needs a champion to make sure that it’s able to keep doing the phenomenal work it does.

That champion is the Children’s Hospital Trust.
