Greetings Dog Lovers!

We know you want to help animals and make a difference, so this year we’ve made it easy for you! 

Get behind the Dogtown South Africa Team in this year’s Momentum 94.7 Cycle Challenge, and help us raise some serious funds for this amazing organisation.  Make a donation of any size and write a little message to help motivate our riders.  Be our cheerleaders!!!   

Dogtown SA, is a pro-life rehabilitation centre specialising in so-called “problem” dogs. We prefer to call them “misunderstood”.   BarkingMad, as we are often referred to, is not an actual shelter, it is a networking website only, helping shelters and the public to responsibly rehome the animals in their care around South Africa. 

Dogtown is a special haven for South Africa’s throwaway Dogs.  Here they are given every possible opportunity at complete rehabilitation to enable them to be rehomed.  Each Dog receives individual attention, veterinary care, training and most important of all - LOVE!


Dogtown commits to its residents for life, and we even have a “Retirement Village” for the golden oldies called Shady Pines.

Nestled in the mountains in Hennops is the most remarkable sanctuary, for dogs who have lost their families or have been rescued from dire situations. Every day the dedicated team at Dogtown provide individual care to each of these dogs in a peaceful, tranquil setting while they wait for their forever homes.
