The Smile Foundation is a great South African NGO which focuses on putting smiles on the faces of our country's children by providing free corrective Plastic and Reconstructive surgery to those with facial abnormalities or deformities (including Cleft Lip and Palate, burn victims, Moebium syndrome (facial paralysis) as well as other conditions).
The Foundation has representation in 7 Academic Hospitals around the country and support each by investing in the medical teams through Skills Developments programmes and by purchasing equipment for the Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery Departments.
To date they have helped almost 1,400 children with the gift of a smile.
