Personal message

When I was 6 I handed out water at an Ultra Marathon. I decided then, I would run one day run The Comrades Marathon. 

While training for Comrades, I couldn't shake an injury and unfortunately in 2016 I had to have 2 hip operations. I spent 14 weeks in bed and 21 weeks on crutches. I did loose hope a few times in the 18 months of recovery but determination, perseverance and support helped me realized my dream and I completed the 2018 Comrades Marathon.

I made a pact with myself that Comrades was my life changing and an accomplishment for me but any other marathon or Ultra that came after it would be run for charity so that I could contribute towards someone else realizing their dream or possibly inspire them or bring them joy.

I feel extremely blessed to be fit and able to run and this is one way I can help change someone else’s life.
