Personal message
"When cancer attacks a child, it attacks a family."
This cause is incredibly close to my heart as I have seen how two little soldiers, gorgeous Mackenzie (#MightyMack ) and my cousin's son Harry (#HopeforHarryMan), have had to face and fight their battles against cancer.
I have witnessed the devastation childhood cancer brings to innocent children and their families.
The emotional, physical and financial strain from the treatment impact so many families face in and around our communities.
Through my IronMan journey, I aim to raise funds to support this beautiful foundation that provides medical care and food packs, toys, and financial and emotional support for these children, their carers, and their families.
"If it doesn't challenge you, it won't change you."
I am grateful for what my body can do every day and welcome the challenge that comes with an Iron Man.
Through the challenge, I am hoping to raise the necessary awareness to change the lives of many other children and families across SA.
