Personal message

This year we have joined forces and we are taking on the 21km Comrades Marathon Hope Challenge, a virtual Comrades event, in support of children fighting cancer.

This is really pushing Mom (Debbie) out of her comfort zone as exercise is definitely not her thing and with zero training behind her (Courtenay) "young" legs, we hope to have a fun morning together while we tackle the challenge and the road ahead of us.

You are probably wondering why we would do this to our (unfit) selves...... Well, simply put, to honour our daughter/sister, Emma-Liegh, a childhood cancer survivor. This 21 km challenge is nothing compared to the road she travelled and the challenges she faced.

We want to use this opportunity to create awareness for childhood cancer and raise some much-needed funds for Rainbows and Smiles, while we honor Emm.

Plus, we were told there's cake at the finish line. “
