Hi everyone!

Over the years I befriended Marc Lubner through our regular training sessions at the gym. His passion for his training and The Smile Foundation had a major impact on me. As I started to learn more about the organization and the amazing work they do for children in South Africa I was eager to lend a helping hand.

We live in such complicated times, in a technological age children look at themselves differently and are constantly comparing themselves to others. Most children have an element of vulnerability about them; I can’t imagine them having to grow up with a facial abnormality to make life even more complicated than it has to be. Everyone deserves a smile.

I have been a proud supporter of this amazing organisation for some time now, this year I have decided to go big or go home!

I have been training for the Munga, this amazing race is the ultimate test of stamina will power and endurance with a touch of crazy thrown in! There's also no better way to see the Karoo!

This year I will dedicate my race to the Smile Foundation in hopes to raise R1 million!

I arrived on this fundraising target, thinking back to my younger days. I remember as a child how we would romanticize the concept of R1 million rand on the playground. 

“My dad is a millionaire”

“I ran a million kilometers!”

 R 1 Million seemed to be the ultimate benchmarch for success.

Now I have my sights set on ONE MILLION SMILES!
