Personal message

Please take a few minutes to read this story, which is very close to my heart. I am raising funds to help Bonny Sithole pay for a prosthetic leg. Bonny is a freelance house painter that I have known for over 10 years. He has worked as a subcontractor in my home improvement and rental property businesses.

I contacted Bonny in early December to paint a kitchen that I was renovating, and he told me he had had an accident, but not much more detail. When I went to meet him to discuss the details of the job, you can only imagine my shock and dismay when I discovered that his "accident" had resulted in the loss of a portion of his right leg and foot!!!

Unfortunately, as it turns out, Bonny was involved in a bus accident in Mutare, Zimbabwe, on the 26th of April 2023 that resulted in this life-changing circumstance. With much courage, Bonny was still able, with the help of a friend, to paint the kitchen.

Bonny has always been a very hardworking, reliable, and talented artisan who is my go-to guy for painting and varnishing of all sorts. I have recommended him to many of my clients, and he always completes every project professionally and with a great attitude. Bonnie is a father and sole supporter of his wife Takudzwa and their 3 children Advance, Sharon, and Adrian. Takudzwa was pregnant with Adrian at the time of the accident, and this family was faced with a newborn and a newly disabled breadwinner at the same time.

Bonny continues to show fortitude and a good attitude but has reached a wall with the purchase of a prosthetic leg. The estimate by a local government agency for the leg is R11,000, but I would like to raise a minimum of R20,000 to cover the cost of the leg and give the family some extra financial support.

Bonny would also benefit with some painting work, as he is still able to do some work and he has a team of painters which he manages. So, if you have a need for painting work, please consider Bonny as an option, I can highly recommend him.

Thanks for reading the story right through, and your donation would be greatly appreciated. Peace out and LUV, Mike Rule, All Wood Carpentry Solutions.
