I Boledi Madutlela aged 20, born and raised in the small rural village of Atok find myself in desperate need of funding as I venture into my postgraduate studies. My desperation comes from my father having lost his job in late 2017 and since my mother had been forced to become the sole breadwinner for a family of 8. Coupled with the even bigger financial burden she had to carry when our house burned down on the 15th of September 2022.Her burden had been lessened a bit through the years, given not by much, when I started university and fortunately enough I got funding. I however just recently learnt that my bursary doesn't fund postgraduate studies. I want and have to complete my postgraduate studies, not just for myself but for my entire family.
