Benike's Yoga Challenge for Red Cross

Personal message

Those who know me will know that I always strive to be 110% productive, but sometimes this can be a little exhausting – physically, mentally, and emotionally – and leave little time for actually working out.

In an effort to make fitness more of a priority, I’ve decided to do a 21-day-yoga challenge for a complete mind-and-body cleanse. But since I don’t necessarily trust myself to have the discipline to keep this up by myself (oops), I needed a goal that’s far larger than my own personal improvement – something that really matters! So, I’ve partnered up with a great charity initiative raising funds for the Red Cross Children’s Hospital.

The Red Cross, as you’ll know, is the only specialist hospital dedicated entirely to children in southern Africa. They’re in desperate need of funds for their ICU Improvement Project, as they’re aiming to expand the unit’s capacity with beds, 24/7 nurses, and medical equipment.

While you're welcome to simply bet on whether or not I will actually manage to complete the 21 days, I hope that you'll be more tempted to donate just because and help make the world a better place, one yoga class at a time!

A hospital dedicated entirely to children – especially children predominantly from impoverished communities throughout Africa – is critically important. So important, that it needs a champion to make sure that it’s able to keep doing the phenomenal work it does.

That champion is the Children’s Hospital Trust.
