Personal message

This is my first year cycling in the Cape Town Cycle Tour and I am so excited, I am going to try my utmost best as I am not really a cyclist.

I am entering the Cycle Tour because I would like to ride for a child and raise funds for a special little boy named James. I know that last year was a really tough year for him with regards to his health, therefore I would like to raise funds to help Home of Hope with his medical care.

I believe in the good work that Home of Hope does as they are changing lives daily and I would love to be a part of it and help them!

Home of Hope

Charity Default Logo

Home of Hope was started in 2005, and we are an NPO that cares for abandoned and abused children and children with Foetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder (FASD – permanent brain damage caused by pre-natal exposure to alcohol). We are a registered place of safety and we have 19 children in our long term community based foster care.

The organisation also caters for the special educational needs of children suffering from FAS (Foetal Alcohol Syndrome) and neurological challenges, in our Amathemba Learning Centre. There are currently 37 children at our Amathemba Learning Centre.
