This is a concept thought up while running Comrades Marathon 2018. And a few weeks later the challenge was born. There are 7 endurance events over 6 months.

 

The event is there to cater for all fitness level types and to help raise much needed funds for the Rainbows and Smiles.

 I met Bonita Suckling in 2017, and when I heard her heart breaking story of the loss of her son JED to cancer, my heart was captured by this incredible tale of how she created the foundation as a promise to her dying son, so that there will be someone to look after his friends suffering the same dreaded disease. Since then the Rainbows and Smiles have tried to ease the passing of the children of South Africa. These little fighters give it there all in the short lives to try fight the dreaded disease and unfortunately most of them lose the battle.

 So my little bit of suffering on the day of the events will be nothing compared to their daily struggle to survive. I urge you all to take up the challenge, even if it is one or two of the events. If that is not your cup of tea, please donate to the fund and I will carry the torch for all of us.
