This year I will again be riding the 94.7 Cycle Challenge in aid of PETS (Pet Empowerment in Townships). PETS do a wonderful job of improving the lot of abused and neglected animals in our townships, and, as a veterinarian, I am happy to be associated with them and to promote their worthy cause.

Pet Empowerment in Townships consists of a group of volunteers who go into under resourced communities in some of our biggest townships, and works with the people of these communities to empower them to better care for their animals.
