Personal message

I will be running the 2013 Two Oceans Marathon in memory of a Son, Brother, Husband, Father, Uncle, and Friend who died far too young because of a driver who did not consider his fellow South African's, by driving whilst under the influence of alcohol.

Barry had his life cut short when he died in a sensless accident on the N3. He left behind a wife, Nadine, and tiny 7 week old child, Blair as well as a devastated family.

I did not know Barry all that well but I do know his sister and his parents, and I have personally witnessed how his death has rocked them.

I'm just a concerned citizen who is trying to help make a difference.

South Africans Against Drunk Driving (SADD) are a specialised Road Safety and Drink Driving organization. We provide education to schools and tertiary institutions throughout SA. We support the victims of drink driving and provide grief literature and other assistance. We act as a media resource centre.
