This year is a very special cycle to raise funds and awareness for Rainbows and Smiles - a childhood cancer foundation close to my heart.

My little sister, Shanaya the First, died on 16th May 2019, from a rare form of childhood cancer called Ewing's Sarcoma. Shanaya was only 5 years old. My yaya girl is the bravest person I know, and I want to honour her legacy forever. When my sister died, I felt robbed off my most prized title of “Unna” big brother. God heard my pain, and our family has been blessed with the most precious soul, my baby brother, Maheshlyn. Maheshlyn has brought so much light, love and healing to my life.

This year my 2-year-old, baby brother and I have entered the 947 Ride Joburg to honour our sister. 

This is my 6th cycle race for charity, and I will be cycling the 25km mountain bike race. Mahesh will be cycling his first race for charity, the 1km kiddies race.

Our Shanaya the First celebrates her 10th heavenly birthday on the 1st of November, so as her brothers we want to challenge everyone to help us raise R10 000 for Rainbows and Smiles in honour of our sister’s 10thbirthday. 

Please help us reach our goal of R10 000 and maybe even more if possible, every little bit helps and even just telling your friends and family about this backabuddy page can save lives.
