Personal message
My name is Thando Malepe, I am Champion MENtor at The Character Company, and I am not a frequent runner.
I started running in January 2019 as part of my new year resolutions, since then I have only ran one qualifying 42.2KM marathon and the 2019 50th OMTOM Anniversary Ultra marathon with 5 hours and 24 minutes. The reason why I run is to make a difference in communities hence I run to raise funds for charity causes. I am working with the NGO called The Character Company, which they are running a great cause close to my heart by raising boys to be good men through long-term and intentional MENtorship throughout South Africa.
I really would appreciate if people can help me to reach my fundraising target of R15 000 through Backabuddy platforms for The Character Company.

Other than the weekly and monthly programmes, holiday camps and “one-on-one” intervention we also focus on support for single mothers and raising awareness of the impact of absent fathers on our families and society.
