Sporting Chance Development Foundation

From their one-man coaching clinics founded by Brad Bing, today Sporting Chance is a leading sports coaching and development organisation, which works throughout South Africa to:- a) Provide children from disadvantaged communities with the opportunity to play sport and develop their sporting ability; b) Identify talent and support the development of these talented individuals through a bursary programme; c) Enable thousands of children around South Africa to develop values and important life skills; d) Provide training and skills development opportunities for adults, who show a passion for sport and demonstrate an ability to motivate and work with young people, to become sports coaches. e) Educate, empower and develop communities through the powerful medium of sport. Sporting Chance has successfully managed many sports and health outreach programmes throughout South Africa including among others: Street Soccer, Health of the Nation, Street Cricket, Calypso Cricket and Khulani Beach Soccer. Our philosophy of getting children off the streets and onto the sports field has promoted physical activity and a healthy lifestyle to over 180 000 children. Sport plays a vital role in children’s lives. Whether at a social or competitive level, it is fundamental in the development of their personality, co-ordination, discipline and social development. It provides them with the opportunity to develop their self-esteem and create a positive self-image. Sporting Chance shows that through sport we can cross barriers, build a positive future for our children and share in the responsibility of building a great South Africa. Sporting Chance provides an excellent opportunity for investors to continue to donate/sponsor an amazing programme that has a solid track record and most importantly will make a considerable difference to thousands of lives.
