Lets get Jannie walking again Campaign

Life can take unexpected turns, challenging us in ways one could never have even imagined and such is the case for 52-year-old Jannie Havenga from Cape Town. A well-known Film Industry legend whose life was forever altered by a devastating motorbike accident which has left him lying helpless in hospital since May 2023.

As he sought medical attention at a government hospital, regrettably due to not having any medical aid Jannie received subpar treatment and has had to endure many operations and procedures on his leg, as a result has caused many complications along the way. The Dr's last resort now is to undergo a Femur Transplant. However, should the transplant not agree with Jannie or for some reason be unsuccessful, the only option would be to amputate his leg. 

This has crippled Jannie’s whole universe, physically been bedridden for months, as well as financially. He does not have family whom he can rely on for assistance or help. Jannie still has a very long road to recovery and he would be forever grateful to anyone that would be able to assist him financially – there is no amount too small, every cent would help, in order to go to a Rehabilitation Centre after his Transplant, so he can learn to walk again, (when all goes well) OR he may need a Prosthetic Leg, (If they Amputate). 

Jannie is going to need as much financial support as he can get in order for him to just live and get by each and every day.

Jannie’s aspirations extend beyond his own well-being. His desire and his determination to undergo the necessary surgery and reclaim his life to work again, just to take one step and help others that are faced with similar situations.

In pursuit of restoring hope and mobility, I have launched a crowdfunding campaign on BackaBuddy to raise funds for his medical journey and road to recovery.
