eHailing drivers lives matter Campaign

Dear BackaBuddy Community,

I hope this message finds you well. I am reaching out to you today on behalf of all ehailing drivers in South Africa who have faced unimaginable challenges in the line of duty. Despite being hijacked, assaulted and sometimes being murder, some of us still wake every morning and work. Imagine the resilience it takes to continue driving a cab under such traumatic circumstances.

We have set up this crowdfunding page so that we can create a centralized app for our protection. A mobile app where we can track/see each other's live location on our mobile phones. The App will have a panic button on it, an option to log in/out to illustrate who's on duty and not, it must Geo-fencing(this shows an area that a driver will never according to his preference), alerts will be received via app, WhatsApp and via SMS, notification should a driver be driving beyond their geofence, for instance and there should be certain categories/groups of areas where the drivers can select their region. From local to regional, to provincial, to nationwide.

Please refer to an app called, "Namola" as reference We can no longer rely on law enforcement. We want to creating something similar but tweaked to benefit all ehailing drivers nationwide. Every contribution, no matter how small, will make a significant impact on this individual's life.

Please consider sharing this campaign within your networks and contributing to help a fellow human being strive for a better life.

Thank you for taking the time to read our plea, and for any support you can provide. Together, we can make a difference in the life of someone who refuses to be defined by the challenges he faces.

Warm regards,
