Phoenix House
Phoenix House Addiction Rehabilitation Centre offers intensive in- and out-patient treatment for drug and alcohol dependence. With a heritage dating back to 1973, Phoenix House has a longstanding reputation for their effective work with addicts and alcoholics, and have had a significant impact on the many lives of patients and their families.
Building on the foundation of its established legacy, Phoenix House has treatment programmes of varying lengths based on the Minnesota Model of Care which integrates the profound wisdom of the 12 Step Programme of recovery, one of the most effective grass roots movements of the last century, with the continuous educational and technical advances of a multidisciplinary team of professionals.
Our trained and accredited addiction counsellors, themselves long-term recovering addicts and alcoholics, are able to connect with patients because of their shared experience. In turn, patients learn to trust their counsellors because they are able to relate to them and see that recovery is possible by following their example. Aftercare is essential to maintain sobriety after discharge. Patients are strongly encouraged to attend 12 Step Programme meetings such as Narcotics Anonymous (NA) and Alcoholics Anonymous (AA).
