Road to Dr Mulder Campaign

Hi everyone. 

I am Lizandré Mulder and I recently finished my Masters in Law (LLM) degree, with specialisation in medical law, at the University of the Free State where I got a distinction for my final LLM dissertation. I have also been a high performance athlete for the university for the past 8 years.

For the past few years, I have been studying on a sports bursary at the university, which covered all my university expenses. However, recently I was informed that UFS is implementing a new rule stating that students over the age of 25 y/o are not allowed to have sports bursaries anymore, as a result of my age, I lost my bursary, my accommodation on campus a.w.a my part-time student assistant job.

Everyone who knows me, knows the passion I have for both the law and my athletics. My plan has always been to pursue my LLD/phd in Laws, until recently when I received this devastating news that my bursary will not be renewed in 2024.

My family and I have considered all possible options without any succes for an easy straight forward future plan. While my tuition fees for my LLD pose a manageable challenge, covering registration and full accommodation costs is way beyond our means. Therefore I have decided to set aside my pride and initiate this fundraising campaign, since any help in what currently feels like a hopeless situation would be highly appreciated. 

Taking this into careful consideration, I am humbly pleading for any help in this regard to make a small girl’s big dreams come true. Small contributions can make a big difference.
