Outstanding fee balance fundraise Campaign

Hello, my name is Kekeletso Maile and I am a third year student at Stellenbosch University. Being a healthcare  practitioner has always been a dream for me since I was a little girl. That together with my passion of helping others and the desire to contributing to people's wellbeing has always been a drive to achieve my dreams and goals.  I chose physiotherapy because growing up my mother was affected by diabetes, where she was partially blind and could not even walk. As a child I had to take care of her and that experience for me centred  my passion in improving the physical wellbeing's of individuals who are to find themselves in similar situations as my mother. I believe that a person is a person through the help of others. I take pride in the fact that I am a hard worker and a resilient woman who is able to persevere in pursuit of their goals. That empowers me to maintain positive attitude and determination even when facing difficult circumstances. I believe that I am worthy of the help because I am studying towards bringing change in the community, a fresh perspective to various situation and to inspire many teenagers who are like me, that are raised by a single parent and have financial difficulties. Being the only child at home to have completed Matric and being able to reach the varsity level is a proud moment for my mother. What saddens me is the fact that financial struggles could bring my mother's proudest moments to a complete end.

My mother is such an inspiration to me because she has shown me what is meant by a resilient women. She has been through so much but she keeps the positive attitude that everything will one day make sense and we will be good. My dream is to break the cycle of poverty and become the first to graduate. I want to inspire my family, friends and even that girl and boy whom feels like there is no turnaround for goodness. I have always dreamed of starting my own organisation in support of people living with Diabetes and HIV. I want to educate people and having done the course of being a social advocate, I am well equipped to understanding the importance of helping others. I am proud of myself for reaching third year of varsity despite the financial difficulties and also being able to reach out because not many do that. I aspire to travel around the world while doing what I fell in love with as a child which is helping others. It is very true when they say that it takes a village to raise a child because it is indeed so. Your help would be much appreciated as it will make my dream of being a physiotherapist a true reality. Being able to raise funds will help me to be able to clear my debt and allow me to register for the new year before the 2nd of February 2024.
