Herzlia Foundation
The primary purpose of the Herzlia Foundation is to ensure that no Jewish child is ever denied a Jewish education because their families cannot afford school fees. Herzlia School’s mission is to provide an educational home for Jewish children, irrespective of their special learning needs, religious affiliation or financial status. The Foundation, created in 1973 by some visionary leaders in the Jewish community, has grown significantly over the years but is still not sufficiently capitalized to cover the costs of all subsidized pupils. We help families in dire need as well as those average earners struggling with two or three children in the system and whose basic standards of living are under siege from so many costs. Currently, 13% of pupils at Herzlia get some sort of aid. The Foundation also supports the recruitment of talented teaching staff, and ensures our priorities for academic and sporting excellence are achievable.
