Surprising my partner Campaign
Hi all! I'm Gabi, a young queer professional, working as a full time petsitter.I have several reasons to be writing one of these today but all of them pale in comparison to the person who this concerns.
Five years ago I befriended this amazing woman, we'll call her Amity for privacy. Amity and I have always had an amazing friendship but over the last year we've grown frankly inseparable. I love her, with every fibre in my being. I've never been before so blessed to have someone in my life that is as supportive, understanding and kind as she is. Amity understands me in a way I never thought I'd have the privilege to be understood in. She has supported me nonstop through the last two years with my business. I work 365 days a year, 18 hours a day and though my business is growing it still hasn't reached the point where it provides me with a liveable wage nevermind the ability to put savings away monthly.
I was originally going to travel this December to see her in the UK for Christmas and then stay with my uncle for six months in order to study and expand my CV to help me gain more substantial work. However due to familial issues I was left to fend for myself and lost the private loan I had arranged. We were devastated as Amity and I haven't seen each other since pre-pandemic and we'd gone out our way to handmake presents for us, she'd gotten tickets to the aquarium and we'd planned a whole Christmas morning.
So now we're here and her birthday is in April next year. I'm trying my very best to save up but it's difficult and I have a move in March I need to prioritise. I'm reaching out today to hopefully gain some assistance in raising funds for my ticket, accommodation and meal expenses so that I may get approved for my visa application. I desperately want to surprise her for her birthday, thank her in personal for all her love and support because without her I don't think I would have survived this year.
