Brightness of Future... it's a core philosophy of the Flight Centre Travel Group (FCTG). The Flight Centre Foundation is FCTG's way of harnessing the collective goodness of our people, industry partners and customers to give back to the communities where we work, live and travel.

We work closely with a select group of charity partners on an ongoing basis, supporting key programs and projects to maximise our impact. In times of natural disaster and emergency, we help where we can with one-off appeals.

It's not all about financial support, with FCTG's people volunteering their talent and time at charities and community groups across the country.

Welcome to the Flight Centre Foundation, bringing the philosophy of Brightness of Future to life in our communities.

Currently we are supporting the following charities:

  • Philile – objective is to establish early childhoold development centres in disadvantaged communities, running programmes that are aimed at the physical, cognitive, emotional, spiritual and social development of the children.
  • Zhanokhanyo, Cape Town – Providing a stable home base for abondoned children in the Khayelitsha area.
  • A.R. – Woman against Rape – set up trauma cente rooms at police stations equipped with toys and contructive material for children who have been abused. Provide comfort parcels and counselling for all rape and abuse victims.
  • Refilwe – aim to help disadvantaged and vulnerable children in local communties through pre-schools, baby homes and foster programmes.
  • Action for Blind and Disabled Children – dedicated to teaching / training blind and disabled young people about computers and computer software.
  • The Lunchbox Fund – a non-profit organisation dedicated to providing a daily meal for extremely poor and at risk school and pre-school children in South Africa. This includes early development centres, primary schools and secondary schools.
  • Clean C, Cape Town – Assistance where required for the community in Joe Slovo Park in Cape Town. This includes enterprise initiatives, early education, disabled homes, girls clubs and general upliftment of the community.
  • Little Fighters, Cape – Support of both the child and the family for children with cancer.
